Julia Quinn
Julia Quinn is a best-selling author of romance novels. Born in 1969 and raised in the south, she inherited her love of books from her mother, who was a teacher. After working in advertising and public relations, Quinn began writing novels and published her first, When a Lady Wants, in 2001. She is known for her gentle persistence in the face of initial rejection from publishers and is widely regarded as a ‘cult favorite’ among romance novel readers. Her novels feature strong female characters who are often determined, resourceful, and fiercely independent.
