Jeffrey Archer is a renowned British author and politician. He was born in London in 1949 and educated at Lancing College and Cambridge University. He began writing in the 1980s and his first novel, “Kane and Abel,” became an instant success. Archer went on to write several more successful novels, including “Butterfield and Robinson,” “A Prince Among Men,” and “The Honourable Harriet Vane.” In addition to his writing career, Archer pursued a career in politics and served as member of Parliament for Westminster from 1985 to 1998.
